The Rooster Ranch Hits the Big Time!

I always knew I'd hit it big...well, actually, I always hoped I'd shrink away and live quietly, trying to tolerate myself somewhat...but, I guess fame was meant to follow me for one reason or another, and so, what can I say? I'm the crazy rooster lady of North Stamford!
My friend, Stamford Talk blogger, Kristine Redlin, wrote a very nice story about me and my roosters (and chickens too,) in the Stamford Times, which will be published tomorrow in hard copy locally and is already on the web here. She took some great pics, a couple of which are here and the rest are here.

I'm still in Manhattan taking care of grandpa and trying to get things set up so I can go back and forth more. So, what has resulted blog-wise are odd and ends as far as political insight. ...OK, call it disgust. I don't have much to say about that and I haven't had time. I couldn't be more displeased if Pelosi were the running mate and all debates were gonna be scripted (which apparently they are)...but most likely Ill live to blog another day.

As much as I'm ready to throw in the towel on politics...probably from the exhaustion of my summer situation, I will be posting a bit more as I have the time about the Visiting Nurse Service's Partners in Care division and the disconnect between management and workers, but its gonna have to wait. I'm still juggling swords and I SO want to take a week off and just rest somewhere! Im afraid that a week isnt nearly enough, and that a year might not be either...I dont know who I will be when this is all over, but I was very glad that William came over yesterday to remind me of how tall he is and how much Im missing. (pics to follow)

My friend Shannon, from high school (via Facebook) sent me this:
If Kids Could Vote page...T-shirts, blog, articles and petition. The theme is "kids can't vote...so, don't blow it!"

I've also been keeping up with my Freaking News, the news in photoshopped pictures. They have some Democrat team vs. Republican team contest going on, so all you photoshoppers better get over there and submit your stuff!

My disappointment about Edwards is that he evidently lied to his staffers, the people who worked for him and the people who contributed money to his campaign. It is silly Americans even care about affairs. But they do and Edwards could have really made a mess of things if he had won the nomination.

Congratulations on some great looking poultry and hope your Grandfather is doing better.
