The Dogs on Main Street Howl, cause They Understand...

...but your eyes go blind, and your blood runs cold;
Sometimes I feel so weak, I just want to explode.
Explode and tear this whole town apart;
Take a knife and cut this pain from my heart.
Find somebody itching for something to start...."

I love the way the applause dies down when he starts talking about the meaning of the song, as if people don't know whether they should applaud or not. In New York City. How sad is that?

Only Springsteen could get away with laying this kind of turd in the General Electric punchbowl. Good for him. Awesome video.

I've never been a huge Springsteen fan, but I sure do appreciate what he does and the way he tries to get the truth out there. Now let's just hope some Republican doesn't decide this is a glowing ode to the future and use it as a campaign theme song.

...and I hope that they do...just so he can slap 'em down...again....

Thats the beauty...Reagan made that mistake with Born in the USA, not realizing what it really said, and even within 1 day of coverage of that moved Bruce to speak out, which was not something that he did back then, and also showed the news watching American public what was what as far as what was the truth inside of those "pop" songs...

I hope they just try...because its fun to see them schooled, along with the entire American public, on whats going on here.
My guess at who is narcissistic enough to make the mistake of thinking that those songs are literally about HIM? Rudy the hero of 9-11 Gulliani! Run Rudy Run!!
